Principal Consultant

Having completed his compulsory military service as an officer in the military academy of his native Singapore, Peter studied in the UK, graduating with an Honours Degree in Engineering (BSc) and then a PhD in Computers & Change Management at Kings College, London University.

In the UK, Peter spent 5 years in academic life (as lecturer and research fellow in Computer Based Learning), and 10 years with British Airways (BA) plc. in various senior management roles (including recruitment & training, corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and sales & marketing in Asia Pacific).

In Australia, Peter spent 2 years as the eBusiness Development Manager with Compaq Computers / HP in Australia (and getting involved in HP’s ‘Global Village’ CSR initiative).  He then spent a year as Managing Director of a public-listed company - taking it from IPO to a successful merger at the end of June 2003. Peter was instrumental in his role as MD in getting board approval for the allocation of an agreed % of profits to be channeled to corporate responsible initiatives.

Peter is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Electrical Engineers (CEng, MIEE), a Member of the British Computer Society and a Chartered IT professional (MBCS, CITP), a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and was also an adviser with The Prince's (Prince of Wales) Trust in helping young people to start small businesses of their own.  Presently, Peter runs his own consultancy (Strategy4) in business & IT strategy, and in leadership training.

Peter is interested in appropriate technology, development and corporate responsibility issues on 3rd World countries (having conducted several trips to Sri Lanka, Uganda, Mozambique, Haiti, and more recently, the Philippines).
